It's Nothing Serious

EA Looks Into More Celebrity Death Themed Virtual Items.

Exclusive is sometimes a synonym for ‘in bad taste.’

Five days after the popstar Michael Jackson died of a heart attack, EA announced that they would be commemorating the event with costumes for Battlefield Heroes. Two new costumes include the gangster suit from his Smooth Criminal days and a “thuggin” costume, from when he was on tour with Fat Joe and R. Kelly (apparently).

The announcement shocked some fans who were amazed EA were able to get the content out even before Jackson’s  body was in the ground. EA addressed this concern by saying,

“For a long time we’ve been working on software that  predicts celebrity deaths. This gives us a lot of extra time to fully capitalize  on once in a lifetime advertising opportunities. We’ve already got a lot of big plans for this year including: Madonna, Clint Eastwood, and Britney Spears.”

The new costumes will be free for a week then will dissapear from your inventory, but don’t worry, for only 3$ each you can wear a little bit of Michael Jackson forever.
