It's Nothing Serious

Beards to Power Next Sony Motion Controller

With the Eyetoy, and the new motion controller showcased at E3 you’d think Sony would be done trying to one-up the Wii-mote. That is just not the case as was revealed when Sony announced their new goatee powered motion controller.

“We are proud to offer our customers an rugged new experience in console entertainment.  We are now the only company that uses powerful beard identification software. Your beard can literally be anything you want it to be. An airplane, a Frisbee or steering wheel all controlled by the movement of your head, who wouldn’t want that?”

We know it looks like another gimmicky ‘Wii-too’ trend thought up by marketing to cash in on current gaming trends. But we look of it more as an adventure into 200$ peripherals you’ll never use for any games you actually want to play.

Sony seems to be right on track with their marketing plan for the PS3. Expensive, complicated, and Spiderman.
